Proxies ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Proxies platform and related services (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

• Authentication data when you sign in via OAuth providers (Google, GitHub)

2.2 Automatically Collected Information

• Usage data (features accessed, professions activated, API calls made)

2.3 MCP Protocol Data

When you connect your AI client to Proxies via the Model Context Protocol (MCP), we may process requests and responses to provide the Service. We do not store the content of your AI conversations unless explicitly required for debugging or service improvement, and any such storage is temporary and anonymized where possible.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. We may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us. Some information may be retained in backups for a limited period.

9. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain your session, remember preferences, and analyze usage patterns. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling them may affect Service functionality.

10. Gmail and Email Data

When you connect your Gmail account, we access your emails to provide personalized auto-reply features:

10.1 What We Access

• Email Reading (gmail.readonly): We read your email threads and message content to understand your communication style
• Email Sending (gmail.send): We send emails on your behalf after you review and approve draft replies

10.2 How We Use Email Data

• We analyze your past email conversations to extract question-and-answer patterns
• These patterns train your personalized auto-reply assistant to match your communication style and voice
• We generate draft replies for your review—emails are only sent with your explicit approval

10.3 What We Store

• Q&A Patterns: Extracted question/answer pairs from your emails, stored in a secure vector database linked to your account
• No Full Email Storage: We do NOT store full email content after pattern extraction is complete

10.4 Email Data Deletion

• You can request deletion of your extracted email patterns at any time
• Disconnecting your Gmail account removes our access to your email data
• Contact privacy@the-proxies.ai to request full deletion of your email-related data

11. Third-Party Services

We name the third parties that handle data on our behalf rather than describing them in categories. Our current subprocessors are:

• AI providers. Anthropic (the primary model behind the helpers), OpenAI (used only to build the search index, never to read or generate your content), and Groq and OpenRouter, which serve a small number of specific server-side features. Replicate is used only where a task requires generated imagery.
• Infrastructure. Fly.io (compute, database), Cloudflare R2 (document storage and backups), Upstash (caching), and GitHub (source control and deployment).
• Billing and email. Stripe for payments, Resend for transactional email, and MailerLite for marketing email you have opted into.
• Other services. Serper and DataForSEO, used by specific helpers to retrieve public web and search data.
• Services you connect yourself. Where you authorise a connection to Google, Microsoft 365 or a similar provider, we act as a transient conduit to that service on your instruction. Your relationship for that data is with the provider.

These third parties have their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them. We maintain a fuller subprocessor register and provide it on request. If we add or change a provider that handles your data, we will tell you.

12. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us immediately.

13. International Data Transfers

We are an Australian company and we tell you where your data actually sits rather than leaving it implied.

• The core data that runs your account, including the database, the search index and the knowledge store, is hosted in Sydney, Australia.
• Documents you upload, and our backups, are held with Cloudflare in its Oceania region, so they sit alongside your core data rather than in another part of the world.
• Some processing, and all AI inference, happens in the United States, because the AI providers listed in Section 11 operate there.

That last point means information you submit is transferred to and processed in a country other than Australia, which may have different data protection laws. By using the Service you consent to that transfer. If you have a residency requirement, for example that your data must remain in a specific country, contact us and we will scope the arrangement with you.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
